Stephanie, Lenny, and the entire team at Breakthrough K9 are truly exceptional. They’ve always cared for our Goldendoodle, Finn, as if he were their own. We initially had him trained here and now send him back for boarding whenever we’re away. It’s such a relief knowing he’s not only in wonderful hands but also getting a refresher on his training. Every time we pick him up he’s happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for — which gives us tremendous peace of mind. On top of all that, their services are very reasonably priced for the level of care and expertise they provide.
I can’t say enough good things about BTK9 training. As we all know, it’s hard to send your dog away for an extended amount of time and feel completely comfortable. I researched a handful of dog trainers in the area, and most all places either had certain start dates with group training or wouldn’t even call back. BTK9 was accommodating and clearly shows that they focus on 1-on-1 training for your dog. My dog went through the 2 week board and train for basically having selective hearing, terrible recall, pulling on the leash and just getting overexcited in situations. You could even say he would have been a flight risk if he wasn’t in a fenced area — not anymore! Everyone is welcoming of questions and advice and even offered to attend a home visit if I felt like I needed help with my dog at home. Not only has my dog improved on all of these skills, but you can tell he’s a more confident dog overall. I frequently travel and my dog will also stay for boarding. He is always happy to see Lenny and Stephanie and looks happy to be there. I want to give a special shout out to Ashley as well, as I know she worked a lot with my dog getting him to the point where he can have off-leash freedom, which if you know Duke, you know he LOVES to run, and they have beautiful property for doing this. So we have been so excited about this. You can tell that everyone truly enjoys this job and they are genuine, trustworthy people who take great care of the dogs. I never feel worried about my dog when he stays with them. I would definitely recommend and I’m so glad I found them!
Our experience with Lenny at Breakthrough K9 was nothing short of amazing. They are quick to respond, thorough when discussing the process, and caring when it comes to clients furry family members. Our pup was young when she went for training . She spent her first Christmas at Breakthrough. After coming home she was so responsive to the training.
