Horse friendly campground. Horse friendly people. You won't find non Horse people here. I do recommend trying for the fall, but dress warmer then what the weather says it will be. They have excellent stalls with shavings already in them, mucking tools and even large sights for extra long trailers.
This is one of the most beautiful places we have been to ride and camp! The trails are wonderful and the camp is beyond well kept and beautiful. The only thing that I would say was difficult is understanding the maps. We finally did get it figured out. We had three days of beautiful weather and beautiful riding! Thank you to everyone that makes this camp what it is.
This campground is 1st class. Water and electric at each site. Sites are level with gravel. Horses stay in barns which are excellent. Bath house is wonderful. Camp manager is helpful and friendly. There are cabins to rent. Trails are right out of camp in the Jefferson NF on FS roads and dirt trails. Moderate difficulty with some trail on fall line.
