Mathnasium

We started Mathnasium about a year or so ago, and I can say that the "fear" of math in my daughter is gone! The Mathnasium team worked with her to build the skills and competencies needed to not only tackle the math, but also the confidence needed to tackle the problem itself! An amazing turn around where just recently she scored at the higher end of the advanced level for 5th grade math SOL where she has never gotten close before--she was beyond happy! In short, the process works, and it only works if you have the right people that can connect with the student in a way that makes sense to them. Our son was falling behind his classmates in Algebra and really needed a boost. Mathnasium in Haymarket has been very helpful for improving his grades, from C’s to B’s and A’s in a short period of time. He said that Jason was a very helpful and patient tutor, providing him with a lot of personal attention and tips.

My child just took his assessment today so I can provide a more indepth review as time goes on. From what I observed, the instructors are kind, knowledgeable and patient. While I was there , I heard them doing virtual learning and both kids seem to enjoy it.
