Technician, an older gentleman, though younger than I, assisted me with retrofitting a Gould pump. Was very grateful for his time and expertise.I did have to use a tap to chase the threads of the pump housing,
I have a 140 year old house with 18 inches crawl space. Chris and Jay showed up on time and listened well about what was going on. They did not give up solving the problem and after an hour got to the root of it. There were multiple leaks after a recent ice storm. Jay persisted despite cramped conditions and deserves a medal ? Chris held off on dismounting the pump long enough to think and look some more to figure out the real issue. He deserves a medal as well.
