Hats off to Chris of Browns Extermination and Pest Control. We had another company come to look at some insects inside our home that we had put in a baggy. Diagnosis was “fleas” and he told us that the whole house and yard would need to be treated. I went to Browns with the same samples and Chris using a light and magnifying glass immediately ruled out fleas and said this was a type of beetle. He then came to our home and checked further. We know now it is a harmless bug that treatment is NOT RECOMMENDED. These insects will die on their own and the recommended treatment is time and a lot of vacuuming. Michael is great! Very knowledgeable about pests, and the products he uses. Knows what product does what and explains it so one can understand what it does and how it affects the bugs. Very thorough with inspections.

I discovered a Yellow Jacket nest above the drop ceiling in the basement of our home in Blacksburg. I called Brown after reading the reviews. Andrew came out the same day. He explained the options for removal very clearly and the safety of the chemical used. Using a disorienting spray on the nest he was able to remove it by hand and take it away. The spray was EPA approved for nursing homes, schools etc. He did not get any spray. on the ceiling tiles or anything else. He did spray outside where the yellow jackets were getting in.
