I can't say enough good things about Rae and Smooth Moves. I hired them to help move my elderly mother into her new apartment and it's the best moving experience I've ever had. She has many delicate antiques and the movers were so careful and considerate in their packing/moving techniques. The prices are so reasonable we were able to easily work it into my mom's tight budget. Call them for your next move, you won't regret it!

I had to make two last minute moves when I relocated for work last year and Smooth Moves was incredible for both my local and long distance move. Their packing and move-out cleaning services saved my skin when I had to make a last-minute move and I was very impressed with the care the movers used in handling furniture and my fragile items. My previous move completed with a DIFFERENT local company was anything but smooth so this was a very welcome change. While I'm no longer in Charlottesville, I fully intend to use their services when I eventually return.

Actually I have to update my review to 4 stars. While they were very quick and efficient once they arrived, they were over an hour late and I was nervous that I wasn't going to be able to complete my move in time. I needn't have worried as they got everything done with time to spare, however I would have appreciated a heads up.
