For one thing, he could actually do what a client wants him to do. He's probably an entirely different Lawyer when you go to his office & hire him to represent you; but Gordon Peters or Eric, whoever handles court-appointed criminal cases all the time & he could care less about whether you win or lose! I not only fired him twice, but I also filed a VA. State Bar Complaint; due to how big of a loser this guy really is! I have no problem telling everyone what he did to me, & now I owe Lynchburg Circuit Court $4500; and that's after representing myself at my trial! I appealed my convictions at my sentencing, & good ole Judge Yeatts appointed Gordon Peters to represent me on my appeal. Yes, & Gordon Peters actually said, "Yes your honor; I'll be glad to represent Scott Carson on his appeal!". What a loser! Not only did I fire him before trial & during my trial, but I also filed a Misconduct Complaint with the VA. State Bar before my trial. He told the judge at my trial, "I'm not sure how this goes, but Scott Carson seems to think that now that he's filed a State Bar Complaint; I can no longer represent him because of a Conflict of Interest.". Ugh Yeah, of course there's a huge Conflict of Interest; Because we nolonger have the same opinions on how to ask questions or what questions to ask. Gordon Peters is absolutely horrible, & I'll be glad to tell him or anybody what happened to me throughout my case. Because of him, I not only got 11 months in jail, but I got 3 yrs. probation & I owe Lynchburg Circuit Court $4,500 in Court Costs. I'm not paying those fees, Gordon Peters will not only be paying those fees, but he'll be lucky to keep his license after I'm through with him!
