Jim and Brandon built an addition on our house in Northside Richmond last year and we love it! Jim's communication was outstanding throughout the process. Issues arise with any project, especially one on an old house like ours, and he quickly resolved them for us. He helped us with every aspect of this project from finding a great architect to draw the plans, working with the City of Richmond for permits and inspections (which is not easy), to helping us select the appropriate materials and appliances. We contacted Glave Construction in October 2022 to frame a 5,000 square foot addition to our house. We were managing the project ourselves. Jim gave us a great price for the job. It involved a lot of complicated framing because it connected to the original house at a 105° angle. Our structural engineer had laminated posts and beams in a lot of places. There was also steel pipe columns inside some walls and running from the foundation supporting steel I-beams. Jim and his crews knew exactly how to install it all.
