Ashland Veterinary Hospital is a caring and respectful place for pets. They provide well-explained wellness visits, playful and informative training, and attentive check-ups for any issues. The staff is kind and compassionate, always making visits a joy. They go the extra mile by calling the next day to check on a pet's progress. Many pet owners feel confident with the providers, especially Dr. Gretchen, who is known for her patience and ability to answer questions honestly. The clinic is highly recommended for any pet owner seeking top-notch care with a personal touch. The front desk is nice, and the waiting area is comfortable. However, parking may be challenging for large trucks, so checking a satellite map beforehand is advisable.
This is the best vet clinic around. We've lived in the area for about 15 years and have tried a lot of the local clinics around the Ladysmith area and about 10 or so years ago we tried the Asland Veterinary Hospital and have been customers ever since. The staff has alwas been a complete joy and the veterinary doctors are all great as well, you can tell they all really care about your pets and are super friendly. I also don't feel like they try and get you to sign up for services you don't really need which I appreciate.
I highly recommend this establishment and your pets are in great hands here!

I found Ashland Vet by chance with an urgent visit with one of my dogs.
Firstly, the office is clean, organized and very functional which is nice to see. You feel very welcome and comfortable waiting in the lobby and so do the animals. There is plenty of seating, which is important if you have an anxious dog like we do.
The reception ladies are so welcoming, friendly and helpful as well. They are the type of ladies that GET STUFF DONE and I can appreciate that. They always have meds ready to go and make sure that the check in and check out process is in and out, and always with a smile!

The whole staff is absolutely amazing. They truly care about the pets well being as well as the pet parents. Always a follow up call checking on your pets progress. This is not just a business...it's true caring. ❤️
