This is the best vet offered to people in the Hanover/Ashland area. Always kind, staff and doctors do all they can to ensure your animals and their humans are taken care of! Wouldnt go anywhere else!

After a few months with this vet office, I've been impressed so far. It can get a little chaotic, which is true of all vet offices, but I find them to be very kind and accommodating while also staying on schedule for my appointment times. Prices are fair, and I've appreciated how much they share about various aspects of my pet's personality, condition, etc., so I feel like I'm having well-rounded visits with a vet that's paying attention to my whole pet, no matter what the specific reason for the visit is.

After a copperhead bite, I tried to get treatment for our lab, Beau, at our regular vet at the Mechanicsville Animal Hospital. We called and they stated we would have to wait on a call back to see if we could bring him in. I was incredulous. Our dog was suffering. We called our old vets office at Ashcake Animal Clinic and they told us to bring him immediately. An hour later when Mechanicsville called us back Beau was already getting medical care at Ashcake. We pulled all records and will only go to Ashcake from now on. Lesson learned! And, Beau is doing much better! ❤️
