“I really struggled with how to rate this review. We had a big mishap with our tree removal, but I decided to give this review five stars. Cascade took responsibility for the damage and Jennica was responsive and handled the situation with utmost professionalism.<br>The crew came to take down our 70-year-old, 40-foot Norway maple. I decided to return home from work to watch them execute the job. Upon arriving, they had nearly completed the removal, except for bringing down the main trunk. I could see their plan and asked the foreman about my concern of bringing the trunk down on the driveway. He explained how they used parts of the main branches placed strategically to cushion the fall.<br>There was a resounding thud when the tree struck the driveway, and I could feel the vibration reverberate through the ground. I knew I had a problem, but upon inspection, I couldn't see any damage. The driveway is 20 years old, and I had it poured at 6" thickness rather than the standard 4".<br>Fast forward a few weeks and a couple of rainstorms; I noticed the first cracks appear in two of my driveway slabs. I contacted Cascade, and Jennica assured me they would make it right. They scheduled a concrete contractor, and they replaced the damaged portion of the driveway.<br>Overall, it was a hassle, and the new portion of the driveway doesn't match the rest. It was either that or live with cracks in otherwise perfect flatwork. Would I use Cascade again? Absolutely, they stood behind their mistake. The repair cost almost double what I paid to have the tree removed. I knew that bringing the tree down on a concrete slab wasn't a good idea, and I should have insisted they make a few more cuts to avoid the problem.”
