This place and the people who run it are absolutely wonderful. It is so clear how much they love each and every dog in their care. The way they bridged the dogs' stories of redemption and healing and understanding, to how we treat each other as humans, was incredibly moving and made for a much more meaningful field trip than I was expecting. Thank you so much for everything you guys do.
I didn’t get what I paid for. I got so much more. What I thought would be a pleasant outing ended up leaving residue of paw prints all over my heart. I am thankful for the opportunity I got to ride in the sled. While that in itself is a surreal experience, you guys also breathe the story of redemption, unconditional love and show the world literal underdogs. I took a great picture of Umberto that just so happened to be seen by a friend of mine. You see, her son who is probably in the 7th grade just had his eye removed. Kids can be cruel. It’s not been easy. Seeing Umberto’s story ignited a talk between the boy and his mother in a tiny mountain NC town on the other side of the country from you. He, too, hopes he can lead like Umberto one day. There’s something magical at your place. I pray you always keep that. Your staff is wonderful and in the right place at the right time. Forever a fan, and I will be rooting for you in Sweden. P.S. This is Fernando. I couldn’t capture the joy I saw when you were watching the sleds run, but I was impressed you were out there too!
We had a fabulous time at Rancho Luna Lobos. Snowshoeing and watching the dog teams go by was a blast! I was very inspired by the whole crew. My favorite quote is that they are not "dog whisperers" but "dog listeners." I look forward to returning!
