I've seen other reviews complaining about the prices at the store, and I have to agree that there's little excuse for them to be as expensive as they are. The supermarket in Wendover, Nevada, for instance is much cheaper, yet it is 100 miles farther away from Salt Lake City. I could also stand understand the lack of choices (for instance, there are few, if any, plant-based offerings in any of the sections) if this were a smaller town. But Grantsville now has at least 15,000 people. What I can't understand at all is how rude the cashier was, nor that at this point in time they are still requiring you to bag your own groceries if you bring in a reusable bag (they are blaming it on Covid, despite the fact that they have not had a mask mandate in Utah for at least six months). Basically the whole attitude of the store seems to be, "We have no competition; if you don't like our store, drive to Salt Lake City."
I try to avoid this grocery store at all costs.Thier prices are absolutely ridiculous. Some of thier items are 3 times the price of other grocery stores.I can't believe how high they have things marked. Every day things, mayo, kraft sauces, tuna fish, orange juice.I bought asparagus at the tooele macys yesterday for 99 cents,4.99 at soelbergs, thats pure greed.Do yourself a favor and drive the ten minutes to tooele for your groceries
They need colder milk and meat refrigerated items. I've found spoiled mashed potatoes, pork chops, hamburger that had been reground, and it was stinking. Had to throw away spoiled meat and mashed potatoes. They need to turn up the refrigeration's. Saw them throwing away spoiled gallons of milk.
