Great program, but their communication was a headache. You have to ask and keep asking for pretty much everything. Calls of mine were not returned, I had to reach out for program info and paperwork that ended up in spam. I received emails from people that just said “join this zoom meeting” with zero context and zero pre-scheduling. I was told to consider a prescription that, upon research, showed no significant difference in treating my condition. Some group leaders were very professional, others were very not. All in all, decent experience, just unnecessarily difficult.
Overall the experience was good on learning the DBT skills I needed to learn because I have BPD & DBT skills is what helps BPD. I talked to Amy Woods about figuring everything out before going. I told her I had physical medical problems. I have a lot of physical medical problems right now, however I was able to put most of it on hold. I asked to be able to see an ENT for it because I can't fully hear out of that...read full review
The New Roads program was extremely helpful for our 18yo child. Both the facility and the staff are excellent. We've worked with lots of programs like this and they were by far the most communicative and also took great strides to ensure our whole family was educated in the basics of DBT. Our loved one made tremendous progress in their five months and really liked it there. We highly recommend and should our child need these types of services again, we will go back to New Roads.
