About The Tavern

The Tavern, located at the Trails clubhouse of the Woodlands Country Club, offers a scenic view overlooking the golf course, driving range, and 1st hole from its floor-to-ceiling windows. The restaurant provides a relaxing and comfortable setting, typical of a hotel restaurant. The menu features chef-crafted specialties, Member favorites, and signature drinks, making it a good spot for those finishing a round of golf or tennis. Breakfast is surprisingly good and reasonably priced, especially for XLife members. Dinner options like the wings have been praised as some of the best in a long time, and the pretzel and cocktails are highly recommended. The full bar offers a great selection of wine. The wait staff is friendly and professional, though sometimes a bit reserved, and the service can be slow, possibly due to juggling room service orders with dine-in guests. While the food quality is mostly average, some dishes like the pizza tend to fall short, tasting undercooked and more like frozen pizza. However, the live entertainment featuring Sheri Lavo and Mike Owen adds to the lively atmosphere. Diners should note the "service charge" added to the bill, which may lead to unintentional double tipping. Overall, the restaurant is worth a visit for its views and decent food, but patience is advised during busy times.

The Tavern offers a lovely view overlooking the resort grounds and driving range, with a comfortable setting typical of a hotel restaurant. Breakfast is surprisingly good and reasonably priced—especially if you’re an XLife member. Dinner items like the wings have also hit the mark. The wait staff is friendly and professional, though a bit reserved.

The biggest downside is the painfully slow service. While the staff does their best, the kitchen seems overwhelmed, possibly due to juggling room service orders alongside dine-in. Worth a visit for the view and decent food, but bring your patience.

Had 2 specialty pizzas. Both great. Super nice and efficient waitress. We’ll be back, often.

What a great, convenient spot to enjoy the views of the golf course in a quiet, relaxed setting. The service was excellent! Some of the food was good but mostly it was below average. I do not recommend the pizza... It was not fully cooked through and tasted more like frozen pizza.

The pretzel was amazing! As was our cocktail! The beer cheese was watered down or something
