Pleasantly surprised at how lovely this office is. Everyone was friendly, the exam room was so clean, and overall we had a fantastic experience. Dr. Castro was patient and helpful and took a lot of time answering questions and doing a thorough exam. Love that there weren't any dogs or dog smells to upset my kitty. We will be back for sure!
I wouldn't say this vet is that much more expensive than other vets I've been to? I rarely bring my cats in, so it's been a couple years, but I'm pretty sure Peanut's dental cleaning from 3 years ago up in Dallas was almost exactly the same cost as the quote they gave me for Pepper??? So I'm not sure why folks are saying they're so expensive - seems to be in line/competitive with other vets... I like that it's only cats here - and P&P appreciate that, too! No barking dogs when I bring them in! They give you cat nip instead of dog treats - and Pepper usually doesn't get a reaction from nip, but this stuff - she was having a blast! My cats are very frightened of strangers, so they were definitely stressed out being here - but no more stressed than when they see other strangers - and neither cat nipped at the doctor or vet tech (and Peanut is a tortie - known for "tortitude") I'll definitely be bringing both my girls here so long as I'm in Houston!
Owned cats,my whole life. But, I'm the new mom of an Exotic Shorthair, and I needed help. Being a new patient, I wasn't sure what to expect for my first wellness appointment. They were thorough and knowledgeable about all things cat. Dr. Castro was the doctor I saw. I felt like I was talking to a doctor about my child. She was so kind and listened to every concern. The front staff and the groomer are also knowledgeable, and I've learned so much about how to give my kitten a happy, healthy life.
