Received recommendation from the Toyota MR2 community. Took my 02 Toyota MR2 (an SMT) for technical repairs that modern mechanics couldn't repair. While working on one issue, I described another problem to which I had doubts that it could be fixed (I thought it would be several costly issues) and believed would be costly to isolate. This company, found it repaired it and fixed two problems that shops and modern master mechanics couldn't do. Well worth the business. My only complaint, is that I wish he could have his business closer to where I live.
When I showed up to this shop, I was afraid my car a goner for good. I had tuned my car with some off the shelf tune and ended up ruining it. Everywhere I took my car to no one could help, and I felt hopeless. I am very glad I came across DD Performance Research; from the beginning I knew my car was in good hands with Dave. DD Performance Research was able to breathe life back into my car when I thought it was going to become a very heavy paperweight. Words cannot fully express the gratitude I have for this shop, as they have earned my business indefinitely.
I don't normally leave reviews, but I feel this needs to be shared. I had such a good experience interacting with Dave and his team that I don't ever plan on going to any other performance shop in my life for as long as I'm in the Houston area. I went in for some routine maintenance and an inspection for my BRZ and I couldn't be happier with the overall service, professionalism, and just the general vibe of the shop. Any questions or concerns I had were always answered with a high level of technical expertise which gave me a lot of confidence in the work that Dave can do. I definitely look forward to working with him on future projects. Thanks Dave!
