The Hendrick staff that I encountered were hospitable and very appreciative of the work that I, as an EVS worker, performed and open to different kinds of people. (Note: Most of these issues in this internet post were also brought up multiple times by multiple EVS employees as directed by the chain of command policy to Roxanne Marshall- HR representative and James Gorman- Hendrick Hospital EVS director. Little to no remedial actions whatsoever were ever taken by those individuals to resolve the issues before my 4/14/2025 termination ) Some people may feel that doing this here is not appropriate/ a former "disgruntled" employee venting and being bitter/ etc. If certain people think this, that is their prerogative. When a person(s) in power uses their position to occupationally gaslight/ manipulate their workers in such a way that causes the workers to perform their job in a “ non - sufficient- poor performance manner” that leads to the termination of an worker through no fault of the worker’s own, I feel that those workers who have experienced the manipulation/ gaslighting/ etc. have the right to stand up for themselves and to bring to light the actions of injustices and those who committed those actions of injustices. Until 4/14/ 2025- date of termination, I was unable to come out to the world and tell what I experienced working under Carl M Maxime. During my time working as a EVS technician, I was emotionally/ mentally/ psychologically gaslighted- manipulated/ abused by Carl M. Maxime, Hendrick South EVS manager, which led to thoughts of suicidal ideation . During my time on the various Hendrick South floors, I was told by Carl M Maxime, Hendrick South EVS Manager, to talk to the Hendrick staff when certain situations arose. A situation in the ER required the verbal input of some of the ER nurses. A ER room was reported to EVS as being dirty. Being assigned to the ED, I went down to the ED and checked to see if the said room that was reported as dirty was dirty. The room was already cleaned by the night crew. I went to the nurses desk and asked if they aware that an ER room was reported to EVS as dirty. They relayed to me that, to their knowledge, no calls regarding a dirty room that needed to be attended to were made to the EVS office. Upon finding out that information, I went to the EVS office and told a team lead about the information that was given to me. As I was telling the team lead what the nurses said, Carl M Maxime began to castigate me for talking to the nurses when he, Carl M Maxime, said that if a question needed to be asked if a situation needed be made more clearer/etc, I was to ask questions/ talk to staff members. During my time under Carl M Maxime, Hendrick South EVS manager, I was the subject of constant complaints regarding floor cleanliness in patient rooms by Hendrick staff/ patients. (Before this even became an issue, I would mop the patient rooms twice- entrance to windows- windows to entrance- so people would see that the floor was being mopped thoroughly and not become an issue in the first place). I was told by Carl M Maxime that the one- time mop step would be sufficient and if the one time mop step, did, somehow, became an issue, that he, Carl M Maxime, Hendrick South EVS Manager would take the fall for it. I did start mopping the patient room floors one time since I was told by Carl Maxime, that if my mopping the patients floors one time lead to people accusing me of not cleaning the floors when, in reality, I did mop the floor, he would take the fall. What I tried to prevent from happening happened. I started to get harassed/ bullied by Carl M Maxime for not mopping the patient rooms floor sufficiently even though I did mop. (This was after I was told by Carl M Maxime that if complaints about the floors " not being mopped/ one time mop step" were being made, he was going to take the fall. During my time under Carl M Maxime, complaints would come in regarding paper products receptacles being empty and not attended to in a timely manner. Many times
