I spent several days comparing in-network Aetna providers and finally narrowed it down to Dr. Walthall. Unfortunately, when I called to schedule, I was told he isn’t—and won’t be—accepting new patients. Not ideal, but I understand directories aren’t always current.

The issue came when I tried to flag the error. I explained that he’s still showing up under Aetna’s “accepting new patients” filter and suggested it might need to be updated. Tracy, the receptionist, corrected me saying the listing just reflects availability for existing patients. I can't say too much about the doctor himself because I did not get to meet him. But I had an appointment set for 2:50 as a new patient and arrived at 2:20. Was informed at 3:30 that he still had 3 patients infront of me. I understand things come up but there is a point in time that i should be notified.I respectfully let the receptionist know that i would be leaving due to this issue and not wanting to have a repeat experience i have decided to look for a more professional pratice to use.

I have trusted in Dr. Walthall and his staff for the past 20+ years. They are always very professional, courteous and eager to provide the best medical care possible for my entire family. He takes his time and answers any questions I have and lets me know that he takes my health seriously.
