We hired Nacho’s company, Vantage Construction Group, to do work at our home at Medina Lake. They replace the roof, extended the deck, added some stairs, repaired existing stairs, repaired a wooden walkway, and installed gutters. The roof was done first and it is in good condition. The deck extension was done next and it is also in good condition. Our major issues are the foreman that he left in charge of the project, spoke no English at all and we spoke no Spanish; Nacho knew this. We were unable to communicate with the foreman or any of the workers at all; not about big issues, not about small issues, not at all. My wife and I are both female and there was a definite uneasy feeling in the air with the foreman, he did not want to have any interaction with us at all. He made that very clear. I found it to be very uncomfortable and unprofessional. Other than the first day, when we hired him, and the last day, when he was paid, Nacho was not on site. That made communication and taking care of daily issues difficult. The other major issue is the gutters. The gutters were installed so poorly that they are already falling down. They were not installed correctly, they were not fastened together correctly, they were not sealed at the joints. When it rains, it pours water from behind the gutter, between the facia and the gutter itself. The gutters leak from the joints. They are coming apart. The downspouts hang so low that they would hit me in the head if I did not duck when I walked past them; I am 5‘6“. There is even an entire section that they did not even put the gutters in. No gutters at all. A less important issue we have is we did a final punch list of things that needed to be finished, corrected, or repaired. That list was basically ignored. The work is about two to three years old and we already have nails coming up out of the decking, wood cracking and warping, and gutters falling down. Looking at the work now, it is not consistent. He seems to have done a good job on the roof; but the gutters are the worst excuse of a “professional contractor” job I’ve ever seen, and the stairs and landing are sub par. We have another rental house in San Antonio that we need a trusted contractor for, but I would not hire this company again. Their work is spotty, inconsistent, and blatantly bad in some areas.

Not good at all. Communication was horrible, I had to follow up with them on getting a quote. Then after approving the work I had to follow up on when they might schedule the work. Was told on a Monday they would do it on Thursday or Friday, but would let me know for sure tomorrow. Tuesday and Wednesday never heard back. Sent an email to confirm what day and got no reply.
