About Silverhorn Golf Club
Silverhorn Golf Club offers a mixed experience for visitors. While the fairways and greens are reported to be decent, the course has some notable shortcomings. Reviewers mention issues with the sand traps, which were covered in weeds and not properly maintained. Additionally, the course lacked basic amenities like water stations on hot days, and the rental coolers required leaving an ID or credit card information, which some found inconvenient. The course is described as challenging and reasonably priced, with greens in great shape, but the range is in poor condition and needs attention. The overall condition of the course is okay, despite some bad spots on the greens and a cool hole under the trees near the back of 10 green. Customer service received criticism, with reviewers noting rude behavior from some golfers and the absence of a Marshall to address issues. Signage in the parking lot indicating to park at your own risk was off-putting for some. The facility's amenities, including porta-potties, were also criticized for being unclean. Despite these drawbacks, the course is considered well taken care of and beautiful overall. However, high prices and the lack of a junior rate, with a fee of $165 for a junior to play, have disappointed some visitors. They feel the value does not match the cost and suggest going on off hours or choosing other courses for better experiences.
