My grandma passed away earlier this month and she had a pre planned service in place so we really just needed to finalize certain details and tend to personal requests we knew she wanted. Our funeral director Alma made everything so easy and was so kind and gentle with us. I had shared I was worried about granny’s coloring looking off or too powdery but the cosmetics they did on her was amazing. She looked so peaceful and beautiful. One of the requests granny had made was that before being buried we drive her past the home she lived in for 47 of her 90 years. Not only did Alma and Grace make sure we drove by they had the procession come to a complete stop, opened the hearse and pinned a rose to the fence in her honor. This was above and beyond any of our expectations and meant so much to our family. Thank you so much for your kindness and care of my granny and our whole family. It meant so much to us.
Our Dad & Mom passed away 3 weeks apart. In fact, Mom's Funeral was today. Funerals were pre-planned by our parents, we had very little to deal with which was a true blessing for us. Both services were beautiful, tasteful & respectful. We received so many compliments on both Rosaries, Masses & Internments. We had high but realistic expectations and the folks at Castillo delivered every time. Our Dad needed very little work, but he looked as handsome as ever. Sadly, Mama needed some cosmetic work. She looked beyond beautiful when all was said and done. We were shown compassion and kindness every step of the way. Every person we came in contact with went above and beyond.
