“I've been working with Matt and the Terra Turf Landscape team for many years. My initial project was having a French drain system installed to control flooding in my backyard and add shrubbery and color to my front flower beds. That project in 2021 resolved the ponding and rain water runoff that was flooding my yard. Fast forward to 2025 and I again needed Matts assistance with drainage due to a new patio that created additional drainage problems. The Terra Turf team added on additional surface drains to the existing French drain system and also put down about 700 sqft for beautiful Palisades Zoysia sod. The landscaping crew is just the best group I've had work on my yard in the 21 years I've lived in the house. They are respectful of my property, show up on time, and get the job done right the first time. Matt really knows his stuff and ensures the projects are completed to the customers satisfaction. If you have landscaping needs from weekly yard care, irrigation, drainage solutions, sod installation, or advanced landscape design, I wouldn't hesitate to call Matt and the Terra Turf team. “I’m extremely pleased by the service I’ve received from DFW Turfgrass Science and my lawn has never looked better. Historically, my lawn has looked fairly good some years and not so good other years. My lawn used to be mainly Bermuda but started having issues in the shade so I partially installed St Augustine sod about 6 years ago. By 2018 it was looking pretty good again. Then the winter storm of 2021 and the following 2 summers decimated my lawn. I watered more and more and followed all the fertilizer recommendations but it only kept getting worse and worse. Half of my lawn was dead by the fall of 2023.
I spoke to Dennis from DFW Turfgrass Science and he immediately knew what I had begun to suspect was wrong with my lawn. But that was only first of several issues that needed to be fixed. I immediately signed up for residential lawn consultation services. This included soil testing (he sends lawn samples to two independent labs), disease, insect & weed treatments as well as fertilizing. He also helped tune my sprinkler system with new sprinkler heads that I didn’t know existed. But the most important service was friendly advice on how to really care for my lawn.
Now my lawn looks lush and healthy and my family and I love it. If you’re willing to take advice and have the patience to let the soil and lawn heal, then I’m sure they can help you too.
