We could not be happier that we chose Dunn and Stone to build our dream home! I reached out to D&S to ask a simple question about construction loans and building on our own land. In one email response they not only answered my question, but thoroughly explained what the journey would look like, how they estimate costs, the different stages of the building process, and so much more. Other builders were taking weeks to get us this information and it was inconsistent from one email to the next. From the beginning D&S was completely transparent and upfront about everything. What sets Dunn and Stone apart is that they truly care about the connection with the homeowners, and the quality of the product they deliver. Everything from start to finish is personalized. You do not need to build a million dollar home with them to get this service, we didn’t. D&S wants your home to serve you in the way you live your life, and they think of every single thing. What way does the sun rise and set, do you work from home, do you entertain large parties, where do you spend most of your time, will your kids grow to be teens in the home, etc. As we worked on designing the structure of our home with Fred, he brought up so many amazing points we never would have thought of. In the end, we actually ended up needing a little less square footage which helped keep us well within our budget and made it so that we can utilize the space in our home so much better. We got everything we wanted! The design center with Erin was so fun, she was so helpful picking out all the options for our home. There were countless times we wanted something high-end and couldn’t fit it in the budget, and she always came through with something that we loved just as much within our price point. Corey our project manager was outstanding. He seriously was the easiest to work with. He treats the home as his until he hands over the keys. It was awesome to see how many trades/contractors he has lined up at any given time, ensuring that absolutely zero time is wasted. He is so efficient and always visiting the home and checking the work. He communicates weekly on the completed work for the week and the upcoming work for the next week. But we could reach out to him anytime with a question and he was always responsive. Another thing about D&S is they have used a lot of their contractors for many years so they are very confident in their quality of work. Everyone at D&S was so easy to work with. We have been in our home for a month now and don’t have a single regret. We walk around in disbelief that it is ours. Building a home can be stressful, but it doesn’t have to be.
