Dr. Schitoskey retired about 8-10 years ago. He was my optometrist for over a decade, and he was amazing. He was friendly and had a great sense of humor. When I first tried to wear contacts I couldn't put them in and he told me I had the worst case of "pokophobia" he'd ever seen. OTOH, when I came to him because I woke up with terribly blurred vision he sent me to an Eye Clinic for a more in-depth examination, and when they could not find the cause he sent me to a retinolologist who found that I had suffered a stroke in my eye. He was able to treat me and although it took some time, today I have almost the same level of vision I had before the stroke. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Schitoskey. If he is subbing for other drs. in his retirement, rest assured, you will be in great hands.
