I have lived and worked all over USA/World since first FT job: Vietnam War and Germany ("vol") 1970-73. After retirement in 2013 ~ 50 yr. work, I've lived in Longview/Pittsburg for 10 yrs and have had only 1 dentist: Dr. Bruyere who I rate as among the best. Besides dentists, I have see many doctors, specialists, both civilian & VA. Have had underbite corrective surgery while under care of parents & the great Oral Surgery Gp in Honolulu. Recent 2 eyes surgeries by VA community provider in 2022 and earlier 2003 diagnosis by Mayo Clinic/MN of DT2 and related diseases highlighted the core medical problem: Agent Orange/other deadly herbacides in Nam + DT2 have raised a bunch of current and potential serious medical issues as well as untimely deaths of many soldiers in Nam, Iraq, and Afghanistan where toxic agents are typically used and abused. Don't forget the burn pits in Nam also. I advise all patients esp. American soldiers to research and study the causes of diseases, the remedies, and ways to restore health and wellness. Be informed to be able to assist and communicate with doctors/dentists at all times. Share your knowledge with them. HIt hard on diet, nutrients, exercise, meditation, praying. Its going to take everything you got when you have "badass" adversaries and you're fighting a Deadly Toxic War. Dr. Bruyere, Dawn & Staff are doing an outstanding job in monitoring my medical issues as are my medical VA Team in Longview TX/Shreveport Regional VA Med Centers. Thank You. I am on the same page as My best physicians e.g. Dr. Clint B and Hygieneist Dawn. Dr. B has offensive/defensive weapons and Dawn is the front line defense with many techniques to prevent the teeth/gum problems that if not prevented will cause greater pain, expenses, time at the dentist office. Minor discomfort can be lessened further by patients utilizing the improvements in dental products for maintaining healthy mouth, teeth and gums. In childhood, I have had many cavities and extractions due to love of man-made sugar and poor hygiene practices. First dentist Dr. Kimata always said "you're Superman" as he drilled the cavities. I endured the PAIN (no anesthesia in those days).
