This was our first time replacing our roof, so we had no idea where to start or what the process would entail.

From the very beginning, Curtis took the time to sit down with me and thoroughly explain every step of the process. He showed me a wide variety of materials and met with me multiple times until I felt completely comfortable with both the product choices and the overall plan. He was incredibly patient and never made me feel rushed.

Another thing I really appreciated was that Curtis was never a high-pressure salesperson. He took the time to educate me, answer my questions, and provide recommendations without ever pushing me into a decision. Curtis identified issues with our exterior wall that other contractors had completely overlooked, allowing us to address and repair them before they became bigger problems. His communication throughout the entire project was outstanding. He even notified our neighbors ahead of time about the upcoming work and potential noise—something we had never experienced when other homes in our neighborhood had roof replacements.

The attention to detail was exceptional. Many contractors don’t take the time to properly finish and coordinate all roof components, but Curtis made sure everything was thoughtfully matched and visually cohesive. He carefully matched all vents and roof components to complement our chosen roof color, resulting in a clean and polished look.

He also went above and beyond with the finishing work around the home. He replaced and perfectly color-matched our rain gutters and downspouts, and he painted our garage door to match as well. These finishing touches made a huge difference in the overall appearance of our home and really demonstrated his attention to detail and pride in his work.
Our fence was also in rough shape, and he went above and beyond by power washing, staining, and replacing several damaged panels. Some panels required multiple coats of stain, and he made sure everything was completed properly without cutting corners.

His crew was professional and respectful, ensuring all nails were removed and the property was thoroughly cleaned when the work was complete. Curtis also provided references so I could see examples of his previous work and view the specific shingle color I was considering in person, which was incredibly helpful.
What impressed me most is that Curtis treats your home as if it were his own. That level of care and pride in his work means a lot.

I was initially hesitant because Szott’s Roofing is a smaller company, but after doing extensive research and experiencing their service firsthand, I am confident I made the best decision possible for our roof replacement and fence repair project.
