About Leander Eye Care PC

Leander Eye Care PC provides excellent care for patients, including those with special needs. The staff is knowledgeable, happy, and helpful, making patients feel comfortable during exams. They thoroughly check eye health, recommend changes to daily routines, and assist with glasses choices to ensure patients are satisfied and maintain long-term health. The new location is spacious, clean, and inviting. Dr. Lauren is attentive and listens to patients' concerns, demonstrating great problem-solving skills. She even found an eyelash in a patient's eyelid that they were unaware of, showcasing her thoroughness. While the majority of the staff, including Trinity, is friendly and accommodating, there is one receptionist whose attitude has been noted as less than pleasant. Overall, Leander Eye Care PC is highly praised for its customer service and the quality of care provided. However, they may have a limited selection of trial contacts, which is a minor drawback.

I had an excellent experience at Leander Eye Care from start to finish. The front staff was welcoming, professional, and made check-in a breeze. Dr. Flores and Dr. Eaton were both incredibly thorough, taking the time to explain everything clearly and answer all my questions. I never felt rushed, and I truly appreciated the care and attention they provided. It’s clear they genuinely care about their patients’ eye health. I highly recommend Leander Eye Care for anyone looking for top-notch service and expertise.

I do not recommend Leander Eye Care and am very disappointed in my experience here. My family was hoping to find a new long term care provider in Leander Eye Care as we just moved to Leander. Unfortunately we’ve had a really frustrating experience and will not be back. I understood when I was mistakenly told at my appointment that I had a retinal hole and would need to go to a specialist. Turns out it was actually someone else’s eye that was pulled up during my appointment. I really wasn’t bothered - everyone makes mistakes and they caught it before I left the office or made an appointment with the specialist, even though this was now reflected through my insurance and had to be fixed. But then my husband and I both ordered new glasses with our updated prescription. Upon arrival, we learned that the axis on my husband’s prescription was entered wrong (it was entered on his prescription as 005, but is actually around 80) so we had to order a second, corrected pair of glasses. Thankfully the employees at Warby Parker helped us out. Still we understood and didn’t feel the need to find a new provider. Today I went to order contacts for the first time with my new prescription. In doing so, I realized it no longer reflected an astigmatism in my left eye (I’ve ordered the same astigmatism contacts for about 8 years). I called to understand what the change was, and was informed that because I had just put ‘Acuvue’ on the entry questionnaire instead of my exact type of contacts (‘Acuvue Daily Hydraluxe Astigmatism’) I had been prescribed a completely different type of contacts. It was explained to me that those are the more common kind of Acuvue daily contacts and people usually know and note if they have the Hydraluxe. They explained that this is why my diameter went from 14.3 to 14.5, but that it’s actually 14.2 (I’m still confused and don’t know what that means for me or my eyes). I feel I should be able to trust my eye doctor to clarify the type of contacts I wear with a conversation beyond just the questionnaire I filled out, especially if there are different variations of a brand’s daily contacts. I’m not an expert in contacts and didn’t know there were different types of Acuvue daily’s. Lastly, I know from my previous annual eye doctor visits I have an astigmatism in both eyes, but according to my new prescription and the person I spoke to over the phone, it is small enough in my left eye that they decided I didn’t need it prescribed that way anymore. I had no idea. I wish I had been clear on the changes they decided to make before leaving the office. My husband and I both will now need to go get another updated prescription from another doctor and will have to pay out of pocket since I have one annual insurance covered eye doctor visit. I don’t usually take the time to write negative reviews, but the cost to my family in terms of time, energy, and money was so high I wanted to share my experience. And I’m just super frustrated/bummed and didn’t get much of a response when I expressed this over the phone.
