About Sea Paws Veterinary Services

Sea Paws Veterinary Services, led by Dr. Cindy Marcum, provides compassionate and professional care for small and exotic pets. Dr. Marcum has over 15 years of experience practicing veterinary medicine in Texas. The team offers a wide range of services, including preventive care, routine medical treatments, diagnostic testing, injury treatment, minor surgeries, and in-home euthanasia. They are known for going above and beyond to meet pet owners' needs, providing full-service veterinary care right at the pet's home or through scheduled appointments. Many clients praise the team for their kindness, genuine care, and responsiveness. They are appreciated for their quick response times, often squeezing in urgent cases within a few hours. Owners have noted that despite being a mobile service, Sea Paws performs all procedures a regular vet can do, with reasonable pricing and high-quality service. The team interacts with pets gently and ensures minimal stress, making visits more comfortable for animals. However, some reviews mention less positive experiences with in-home euthanasia, describing the process as stressful for the pets and lacking the desired compassion. Despite this, clients who have used their services for end-of-life care also emphasize the empathy and support shown by Dr. Marcum, highlighting her kindness and professionalism during difficult times. Overall, Sea Paws Veterinary Services is dedicated to providing caring, accessible, and comprehensive veterinary care for pets and their owners, with a focus on comfort and compassion in every visit.

Deciding to let my baby of 13 years cross over the rainbow bridge was one of the hardest decisions we've made. We chose in home because we thought it would be a peaceful and calm experience but it was just the opposite of that. Our beloved pet (small dog) was very stressed and it took the vet 3 tries to give him "his cocktail" a shot to make him calm, my 22 year old daughter gave the vet advice on where to put the shot after the 2nd try. The IV process was not much better as she didn't even know if she could get a vein. When the vet finalky got the IV in he was still not calm but yet she put the medication in. He screamed 3x (a sound I've never heard) which was so horrific to hear especially in the last moments of his life, he coughed a few times and was gone. My baby was blind and deaf and all I think about is how scared he was the last few minutes of his life, this has haunted me and still does a week later. I felt there was very little compassion from the Dr. I will never do in home euthanasia again and I wish I would've taken him to his vet where he would've been comfortable. 💔💔
