My son is 3.5yrs old and autistic. Sometimes he has a hard time with haircuts, making it quite stressful for everyone involved. I’ve been to several other hair salons in the area, and none of them have been as kind and patient as Curly and Spikey. The owner, Akila, was amazing. She made sure my son was comfortable throughout the haircut, relieved my stress, and gave my son a great haircut ( very impressive with how much of a wiggle worm he is)! Thank you so much Akila, for your patience and kindness towards my son. We will definitely be back. If you have a child on the spectrum, or a child with anxiety around getting their hair cut, this is the place to go.

I highly recommend Curly and Spikey. I’ve been bringing my twins to Ms. Akila and Homaira since they were very young. I like their organic hair products and friendly customer service. Our twins feel very welcome here. Our daughter often gets her long red hair braided in creative styles.
