Recently, while shopping in Penny's, I stopped in at The Barbery with the hopes of a quick beard trim. My experience exceeded every expectation in every way.
I had the pleasure of meeting Mr L.D.Allen and may I say what a delightful encounter.
He was curious, friendly & knowledgeable.
Beard trims are at best a gamble as most hair care folks want to focus on cuts, colors & other such jobs.
I'm a bald man and do not have much need for those, but I do love my beard & L.D. made a huge impression on me.
I will definitely be back to see him again & again. 🥰

A hidden gem in the Mid Cities. L.D. is a magician with hair; I almost want to keep him a secret so he doesn’t become too popular, but that wouldn’t be fair to him! His skills need to be seen to be believed. He’s a master of multiple hair textures and styles and provides a true old school barbershop experience. Highly recommended for all hair types and people young and old! Just be sure to call ahead to make sure there’s availability! I suspect as time goes on L.D. will be in even higher and higher demand.
