“I took a road test with Five Star Driving School this March, and I'm so glad I did so! While I took it in a location on the opposite end of the DFW Metroplex — at not a driving school building but starting in the parking lot of a mom-and-pop transmission repair shop in south McKinney, it went remarkably smoothly.

Not only was my examiner, Searcy Redd, reasonable and thorough during the test, but he even went out of his way to ensure I had all of my necessary documents ready in hard copies for my license certification at the DPS despite an initial misunderstanding that led me into forgetting to bring one of my documents at first (we were just a short distance from a site allowing us to print them, though). For this reason, I want to thank the company's owner for his understanding and for allowing us to use his printer, too.

With such a scenario, I'd typically expect a driving school to turn me away and/or charge me a "no-show" fee, so I can't thank Mr. Redd enough for his understanding and for taking additional time to help me.

As for the test itself, I passed it with a score much higher relative to my expectation, but I attribute it largely to Mr. Redd's willingness to accommodate me before and during the test. Thus, I owe it to him and to the Five Star Driving School for "giving me the green light" to securing my driving license.

I highly recommend anyone after their license in the DFW area consider taking their test through FSDS!“

We scheduled our daughter for her drivers test here. Scheduling was super easy, they had lots of openings. Unfortunately, she didn’t pass the first time, but we scheduled for the very next day and she passed!

We took my older daughter to a DPS location several years ago and I think that location was far easier to drive. I’m thankful for the test that was given by Community Driving School because it gave us many more opportunities for testing/learning. It was rough after we didn’t pass, but my daughter was very nervous, and there were a few things that we studied again before the second test. It makes me feel better as a mother now that she’s had this experience and understands that there are repercussions to choices we make when driving. I can say that I actually have more peace of mind about her being alone in a car now.

The office was clean and bright and Grace, at the front desk, was sweet and very helpful. Our instructor, Makenzie was kind and had a warm sense about her. I’ve heard nightmares about strict, or cold instructors. I know they have to be serious and not show reaction, chitchat or comment during the test, but my daughter and I felt like her pleasant demeanor made the situation less intense. I definitely recommend Community Driving School.“
