I'm still pretty new to Houston so when I asked a close friend where I should take my kiddo for to get a haircut, Dan's name and barbershop came highly recommended. He's a great with children and has been my son's barber since September of last year. He's very patient and talks with him about sports, reflects on things he learned throughout his childhood, etc. They even tell each other knock knock jokes. Each appointment ends with my son asking for a lollipop (or two), Dan looking at me for the okay, me nodding my approval, and then Dan giving him a word of encouragement and/or reminder for him to behave himself before we all say our goodbyes. Thankfully, Dan and the older gentlemen will tone down their conversation to something like PG-13 when young children are present which I can definitely appreciate because barbershop discussions can sometimes be a bit edgy to put it nicely. On top of alllll of that, the man is talented! During our first couple of visits, I showed him a picture of what I thought would be cute and he was able to execute the exact style with near perfection. I was very, very impressed. Now, he has the look completely memorized. Dan accepts a few different payment options including cash and Zelle. So, if you're in the Greenpoint area... you all should check him out.
