Amazing makeup artistry by Houston Makeup! I reside in Colorado but my company's Holiday party was based in their home office in Houston, Texas. I was frantically looking at Yelp reviews and kept coming across great reviews for Houston Makeup. The owner was kind enough to get me in, just a few days prior to my event and kept in contact about my appointment. Definitely a reassuring feeling with a sight unseen makeup artist. My appointment was handled professionally and I had nothing but compliments on my makeup all night!! The only tip I have is, if your traveling from out of state and using a ride share app, book your drive with Uber. My lyft driver took a long time picking me up. I will definitely be back to Houston Makeup!!

Lily and Natalie did my hair and makeup at my Airbnb for the Rolling Stones concert last night and they were amazing! We came from out of town so I started calling places ahead of time. As soon as Lily got on the phone, I knew she was what I needed - she's very friendly, connects with you right away and you immediately know you're in good hands. Natalie did my hair exactly as what was in the picture I sent except that she made it even better by pulling up some loose curls that would have just drooped in the July TX heat. And the style stayed all through the night of dancing. She's a true professional and artist! Lily was very patient and precise with my makeup. She kept checking in to make sure I liked it and she made changes if I wanted a little different color or blending. I got so many compliments! But best of all, it felt like we were friends and we had all got together to get ready to go out. We talked about concerts while they worked and played songs from our playlists. Artists, professionals and great people!!

I booked to have my hair and make-up done here before my friend's wedding and couldn't be happier with the result! I never usually wear make-up so was nervous in case I came out with way too much on but Lily asked me lots of questions throughout and made sure I was happy with things at every step. The make-up lasted through standing in the 96F and humid evening, the wedding ceremony and a good few hours of drinking and dancing! My hair do was lovely and didn't give me a headache like previous up-dos I've had because Lily again checked that nothing was too tight etc. Of course the curls dropped a little in this humidity etc but nothing could have stopped that. I'll post before and after pics below this review.
