Ms. Aretha was VERY helpful to me. She gave me some advice and I couldn't believe how nice and down to Earth she was. I want her to be my mentor. I'm going back but she doesn't know it!!! WON-DI-FAWL LADY!!!

Brenda is AMAZING! By far the best Electrolygist i have worked with - as they say third time is a charm :) ! She has a lot of experience, gets you real results and has worked with a lot of people from different backgrounds so knows how to adjust her work/equipment to ensure she can help your specific type of hair and keep your skin safe. Not to mention she is also super nice and funny!! I always look forward to seeing her and the beautiful office she keeps extra clean and always decorated for all kinds of occasions!

I was recommended to Brenda by Uptown Dermatology, who said that all her clients went to Brenda and loved her. Brenda works efficiently and I find the pain fairly tolerable and less painful than my former electrologist. She tries very hard to keep her prices accessible - rates depend on how many how long your session is. Many electrologists in Houston charge a flat $100/hour, but her rate was $80 for an hour session. I had done long 3-5 hour sessions at a different provider before, and I think my pain tolerance falls precipitously past an hour. As much as I would like to get as much done as possible in one sitting, I begin to flinch and jolt far more frequently on longer sessions, so the speed inevitably slows down and it's just not really worthwhile (even with discounted rates for longer sessions). The first session is free - so it's definitely worth a consultation and taster of what electrolysis is like. She works Monday - Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm. She is her own business owner, staff, and receptionist, so I have had to play phone tag with her before as she generally doesn't take calls during her sessions and she's booked out by many weeks. I recommend booking your next session at the end of each session for that reason. She jots down her appointments on her paper planner; it is on you to remember your own appointments and show up on time. Do not expect reminder emails, phone calls, or text messages. Please pay her time if you are a no-show, she works incredibly hard to be fair, keep prices low, and run her business. Brenda is friendly and really passionate about her war against unwanted hair. I've enjoyed listening to her stories as she works. She's been doing this for decades before laser rose to prominence, and I have seen results already in the few sessions I've done already. She may only do electrolysis, but she is also happy to suggest laser and other treatments to try out first or do alongside electrolysis. Her office is located near the galleria. She accepts cash & check - so come prepared. Easy free parking in the parking lot. Just take the elevator up and the office is easy to find & get to. Highly recommend giving her a call and checking her out.
