Gilberto is one of the nicest, most professional, and talented stylists in town. He treats me like royalty and has been a family friend for nearly a decade. I've followed him from salon to salon because he has proven himself to be simply the best. He provides my mother with full service and I get standard haircuts (which include shampoo, condition, massage, cut, style, etc)

This is a gorgeous boutique salon/spa, tucked in the Museum District, and located in a beautiful vintage home which has been lovingly converted into a retreat. A first time visitor, I was warmly greeted and promptly given a glass of wine. The interior is lovely and inviting. I had partial highlights. with Gilberto, who is an amazing color artist. The highlights are a perfect blonde. Furthermore, Gilberto is very warm and friendly, and I was relaxed the entire visit. I will most definitely be back, and I encourage everyone to try this little gem of a salon.

Awesome! I just relocated from NYC desperately seeking a keratin treatment - as very pricey Brazilian blowout seems to be what is mostly offered here in Houston. I tried Avila's based on reviews and and scored a home run. It's a lovely, relaxing salon, not hard to find since there is a very large sign in front of the building. The owner, Walter, gave me his undivided attention, no interruptions from start to finish, totally professional, and did a fantastic job- no split ends on top and my hair felt clean and not greasy afterward. I'll be back for haircut and color. Highly recommend.
