Sherry is the best human being you'll ever meet, and the best hair stylist hands-down. She does the hair of both my son with intellectual disabilities, and my hair too, and does a great job.
Sherry is so patient with my son, is sensitive to his sensory needs, and encourages and reinforces his communication. He's been seeing her since he was in elementary school, and he just graduated high school. He didn't used to be able to get his haircut at a shop, but he sits quietly with Sherry, and is only intermittently bothered by the hair on his face or the noise of the clippers. Penny was very calm, patient, kind and understanding with my child who has sensory issues and does not do well with haircuts. She did a wonderful job considering he would not be still and he was crying the whole time.
However, I noticed from the time we came in Penny seemed kind of bothered when she interacted with me. It didn't seem like she really wanted to do his hair ( which I do understand why). Perhaps I caught her at a bad time but I felt unwelcomed.
I love the staff, they are efficient and friendly! My child loves getting his haircut here. This is the only place that we have taken him since we moved here 5 years ago. Highly recommend!
