I am in the process of getting a new solar system installed. The scheduling was handled professionally, the crew showed up on time this morning and has proceeded to make good progress. The job will be finished tomorrow, everything looks good at this point.

The staff in the Gonzales appliance location are friendly, and when we didn't see the refrigerator we wanted (a sold sign was on a unit we really liked), they said they might find one at the warehouse. Sure enough, there was one available.We also bought a dryer there. They are getting out of the appliance sales, but we found it to be very convenient and prices are good. Delivery was great, and the delivery guys were friendly and very knowledgeable.

I normally do not give reviews, but my experience with this company was so good that I need to tell someone. My mother is a 76 year old widow that lives alone in Gonzales. She went for FOUR MONTHS without heat due to the incompetence of another local company. Once we decided to just replace the whole system, GVEC Home Services quoted an entire brand new heat pump HVAC system. Their quote was $400 less than the other two quotes, for BETTER equipment (15 SEER rather than 14 SEER efficiency rating), their warranty was NINE years better, and their people were friendly, helpful, and informative. They sang the praises of what they were selling, rather than bad-mouthing what others were quoting. The other company had fiddled with the system so much that I could get no one else to work on it. When I told GVEC that they had my business and I went and paid for it, they said they would go out in the morning and see if they could get the emergency heat working on my mother's existing unit since it would be a few days to get the new equipment and get it installed. They were there at 9:04 and by 9:18 had some central heat for my mother, and they didn't charge me for that service. GVEC was truly concerned about my elderly mother, the way that a local company should be. They showed up on installation day early, covered all the carpets, finished early, worked efficiently, and completely cleaned up after themselves. They did have a little technical issue, but two phone calls by the knowledgeable head installer got that fixed. GVEC is a large-enough, stable-enough company that can truly afford to offer good customer service, rather than worrying about how the next dollar is going to be made.
