Surgery was very successful. The follow up after each surgery was very hurried. The OD in charge of the follow up was in an extreme rush to be on his way. He would not let me finish either of the two question/statements. He lacked a bedside manner. That being said, I would return to Texan Eye Center again.

I was sent to Texan Eye for cataract surgery. While the surgeon I utilized appears to have done her best. The surgery could not be completed with 100% success. That however is not the issue. They run the practice like a mill. Further, they split the surgery into the eye practice and the surgery. I believe this is done to hide how and what the charge. Instead of looking at my insurance and billing based on the insurance, I was forced to pay a "standard" rate. This rate was far in excess of what my insurance covered. When they discovered the differential they tried to hide it. When we called to ask about the issue, they said that they call me back and never did. We were forced to file a complain with our CC company to get their attention. We did receive any attention from them and then we could speak to no one, but received a series of nasty mails from them. Further, and possibly the worst is that they charged my insurance company for work that was not performed. They doctors may in fact be ok, but the practice itself is shoddy.

I have been coming to Texan Eye for several years and I have never had a bad experience. The front desk staff, very helpful and friendly. The person that helped me today was Vera-Mae and she was absolutely wonderful. Great personality. She explained everything that was going to happen today. It was a pleasure to have her help me today. Dr. Lane is always great! Thanks again Texan Eye for a great visit.
