Recently, I was driving south on 35 when a truck in front of me kicked up some road debris, which inadvertently cracked my windshield. This wasn’t a fixable crack though, it was smack dab in my driver eyes view stretching from the far edge where the impact was made, to a solid 16” across. I had tried calling a few places for an appointment, only to be told they would have to order the glass, wait a few days, some places didn’t bother to return my call at all, and others were asking for an unreasonable fee (compared to my previous experiences with glass replacement). Finally, I called Abstract Autoglass, because the reviews were encouraging. When I called, it was after hours and I expected to leave a message. However, to my surprise, Mr. Prince, answered my call and with a delightful greeting I must add. There is just something so comforting about when you speak with someone on the phone and you can tell they are smiling, their words are kind, and they sound genuinely blessed you have called. Mr. Prince followed that up with offering me an excellent price to replace the front windshield on my 2016 Honda CRV. He also offered to come to my home at my convenience, without charging any additional fee! It almost sounded too good to be true, but it wasn’t. Mr. Prince, is just a wonderful, kind, respectful, talented, professional, human being with a deep understanding of the value exceptional customer service brings. So I booked an appointment for the next day. The day of service arrives and Mr. Prince, followed through with his courtesy call to let me know when he would be enroute, as he had stated he would. He arrived on time, with a warm smile on his face. Accompanied by his young adult son, wearing a company shirt, both were very pleasant and polite. This duo, quickly and efficiently removed my cracked glass, all the things attached, such as my registration, toll tags, service sticker, and mirror. Next, they installed a new windshield and re-affixed all the things previously removed. They were careful to wipe things down and left a completed service, clean and streak free. Especially in today’s day and age, excellent customer service is a rare commodity, yet it is the backbone of a flourishing business. I’m grateful for Mr. Prince, and his upbeat, optimistic, professional, and pleasant personality. He has definitely made my day brighter and I will gleefully be referring his business to others and returning should I need Auto glass services again. Personally, my heart felt compelled to offer Mr. Prince, a well deserved (yet not requested) gratuity. I hope the small gratuity I added brightened his day and also shows his son just how valuable being kind, and offering excellent customer service is. I also hope others will feel encouraged to offer a well deserved gratuity to continue encouraging such wonderful business practices. Kindness is key- live it and give it and you shall be rewarded!
