I would not recommend Sigi or his company to anyone. I know Sigi from high school, and hiring him to work out our house was a huge waste of money and our biggest mistake yet. We contracted Sigi to do electric work, including installing recessed lights, rerouting wires, moving switches, etc... amounting to $2,450. What we got were non-insulation rated can lights, uncovered junction boxes in the attic, unaddressed hot wires, wire connections not in junction boxes, non-dedicated circuits for appliances such as our fridge and microwave. Now that we have had drywall work done, it is obvious that he installed the new junction boxes 1/4 inches too deep and they do not sit flush against the wall. I believe he either took on a project he was under-qualified for or decided to take shortcuts in hopes we would not find out. I do not know which is worse. We communicated the issues to Sigi, and he said he could come back to fix his work. We were conflicted - when someone does such poor work the first time, how comfortable would you feel letting them handle it again? We hired another electrician to do the wire rerouting, as we needed someone ASAP before my drywall guys covered the inaccessible wires and Sigi already stated he was booked for 2 months. The can light were installed fine by Sigi, but he used the wrong materials. We asked him to come back and install the proper insulation rated can light, and his argument for not coming back to fix his work is we got a third party to fix part of the issue (the wire rerouting). He told us if we wanted to hire another electrician, it is on us. I took this as it is on us financially, but he is using this to say we **voided the warranty** He failed to take ownership of using the incorrect lights in the first place; he actually lied and sent a photo of products he did not even use in my house. How frustrating - had he just done it right, we would not be in this position. My biggest complaint working with Sigi is - this is not a matter of me not liking this or that; it was done wrong and NOT to code. We have tried to resolve this via text and phone, but he refuses to help and has put the blame on me. We have gotten no sense of value from the services he provided, as now we are having to pay more to correct his mistakes. They say *do it right or do it twice* and we learned that the hard way. I hope you learn from my experience and consider a more honest and qualified contractor to take care of you and your house.
They are my go to contractors for all my business/ home projects. they do it all and i highly recommend them. Sigi and Jay are very professional and know why they’re doing. the craftsmanship and details they do in their work is just the best all around.
