Today, I went to get my hair done for the first time in over year and had so much fun. Prior to today, I had never been to a real salon, but I went to go see Angie Melander (phone number: 214-471-5214) at Delaney Salon and she made me feel so comfortable. I told her I just wanted a change and she delivered! We had great conversation and she also taught me how to style my hair throughout the appointment. I loved being able to communicate with Angie directly beforehand with prompt responses via texts. I'm so excited to show off my new hair at my college graduation this weekend (picture attached)! I'll definitely be returning to Angie soon - she has my highest recommendation.
Angie by far is the best beautician I have ever met, and believe me I have been across the country and back. She can make you feel like a million bucks after a short time. Angie Melander is a hidden gem in Coppell!
I am the most hesitant when it comes to getting my haircut because I've had some not so memorable experiences in the past... leaving with a shorter or different style than the one I had envisioned. Lily was the first stylist I came to after 10 years where I walked out extremely happy with my hair cut. With COVID, she is NOT accepting walk-ins so make sure to call ahead. I called and left a VM, and within a couple of hours she responded and was able to squeeze me in on a Friday afternoon. She does get pretty busy near the weekends though, so don't wait last minute like I did! The suite is located within the Delaney Salon, so when you enter, take a right and she's easy to find. I brought a picture of the long bob style I wanted and she was able to follow exactly what I wanted, even providing suggestions for my specific hair type. I know she was meticulous, taking approx an hour to make sure everything looked perfect. I was even impressed with the blowout at the end, I never felt the heat of the blow dryer against my scalp. Lily is SUCH a sweet lady and will converse with you the entire appt. She deserves 5 stars and more.
