I have been with the company for 29 years. For me it has been a good place to work. Like most people I have had times that I wanted to leave, times when another employer tried to get me to leave for them, and times other drivers wanted me to come where they were. We have had supervisors that made thing difficult, but they no longer work here, a good thing. All in all, from corporate down, GTI does care for their people. They also care about their customers. And they care about there neighbors even if it means making it inconvenient for us drivers. We all understand that no one likes meeting trucks on small roads. I've worked at Thurman Transportation as a driver for almost a year now. This is a great place to work. Anytime I was promised anything, I got it. I look at all of the negative reviews and most of them are from years ago when management and general direction of the company weren't doing well. If you asked any other driver who has worked here since then, they would probably tell you the same. I'm glad this place gave me an opportunity to be here. Please don't let the negative comments sway you from at least giving Thurman Transportation a chance. It's really not a bad place to work. Personally, I love it here.
