Planet Fitness is known for its clean and spacious facilities, offering a friendly atmosphere with helpful staff. With over 2,400 locations, it provides a variety of well-maintained equipment, including plenty of cardio machines and weights, catering to different fitness needs. The locker rooms and showers are private and clean, enhancing the overall experience. Guests appreciate the positive workout vibes and the commitment to maintaining a welcoming environment. The staff is always polite, helpful, and professional. The gym is consistently very clean, with equipment in optimal condition. Customers love the excellent customer service and the respectful environment, where everyone can focus on their goals without feeling self-conscious. The convenient location on the freeway and the availability of hydro massage are also highly valued.
Equipment is pretty good and nice atmosphere. But please work on the bathrooms. They need to be cleaned more often, specifically the toilets and seats need to be fixed. Also, change the water filters on dispenser. The water tastes horrible.
Update 10/10/2025 GOOD NEWS!
The aerobic machines were all updated with the latest and greatest high-tech ones that connect to Apple Smart Watches for easy breezy fitness tracking. You can plug wired ear buds into them for TV sound and I think you can connect Bluetooth earbuds to them as well, but I haven't tested that out yet.
Update 9/2/25 It seems that we get the B-level treatment here in Brownsville and that's why all the high-tech goodies aren't here like:
1. TV audio over Wi-Fi and the audio app 'appaudio' so that we can listen to the television audio using our smartphone.

Great environment and good management. However, the summer is a bit off kilter owing to free-riding teens who have no idea about gym etiquette. This is a corporate imposed program which should not reflect on the great staffers.
