In 5 days I was in the ER 2x, had an endoscopy and gall bladder removal. I was scared, frustrated and apprehensive. But the people at SMMC we're just awesome. I'm not going to remember everyone's names but here it goes. Garrett, Dr Coop, Dr Huang, Priscilla, Lupe, Jenny, Heath, Ben, Larry, Ginger, Ms. M in the lab. The sweet ladies that did my Hida Scan, Ultrasound and CT Scans. The nice ladies in the hospital and ER check ins. The extremely sweet lady from the cafeteria that remembered my pecan pie. I recently had the opportunity to experience care at SMMC, and I can not praise the staff and doctors enough. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The front desk staff were efficient and welcoming, making the check-in process smooth and stress-free.
The medical team, including doctors and nurses, demonstrated incredible knowledge and compassion throughout my visit. They took the time to listen to my concerns, explain procedures in detail, and ensure I felt comfortable every step of the way. I am from out of town and came to the emergency room with unexplainable chest pains. The staff went to work immediately and started running test to try and figure out what was up. Turned out to not be a heart attack but the entire staff I dealt with had an excellent attitude and knowledge. They all listened to me and worked on me quickly. Thank you for taking your time to give me.good treatment. I have been in several hospitals through out the years and this is one of the best I have dealt with. Thank you for giving a dam about people in general. Good folks.
