This business was started locally to serve teachers. Over the past 40 years it has grown nationally and recently was purchased by Horace Mann Insurance, another company that focuses on educators. NTA employees are good folks who take pride in trying to do their best for the educators and firefighters they serve. I read some of the negative claims comments. I would encourage those folks to call the company or request a review. We will do everything we can to make sure you are paid the correct benefit amounts you are due. And provide you an explanation as to why.

This was the best investment I ever made. Had a short term disability policy. Had two surgeries and was off work over 6 months. This company paid without a problem. On time, no issues. I'm in Los Angeles. I noticed negative reviews from Tx. Not my experience at all here in Los Angeles. I would highly recommend them. Excellent customer service.

I have Aflac short term disability insurance, Colonial Accident and NTA Life short term disability and Accident. I had my first accidental injury that required surgery and time off from work. Dealing with all three insurances I want to give my review on NTA Life. If you provide what they ask for, the disability and accident claim get processed within about 10 business days if all verification needed is submitted. They are easy to contact via phone. I called them twice and both times I was connected to an agent right away. Deposits take about 1-2 business days depending on what time of day they approve. Overall with my experience with all insurances NTA life was by far the best. Aflac required a lot more verifications that left me stressed and made me go back( I am suppose to be in bed rest) and forth to Kaiser and had to wait about 3 weeks before I got all the needed verifications sent to me for me to send to Aflac. Colonial life was a hassle since it was my first claim. They only take the first one via fax which I sent over and have a confirmation for and they said they didn't receive it or none of the verifications I submit. I had to resubmit it. Overall I would recommend NTA Life.
