As other market research companies steadily drop off my radar due to inconsistent or even nonexistent payment practices, Fieldwork Dallas gets closer and closer to being the last one standing. They make it simple and straightforward to participate. It starts with filling out online questionnaires to determine if you qualify for a study. Once chosen, they have you show up at the designated time and place - either at their north Dallas facility, or better yet, online for remote studies. Then you give opinions on products or services. Finally, you receive the agreed upon compensation, usually in a couple of days. So far, Fieldwork has a 100% success rate in doing all of this (unlike some of their competitors). They get bonus points for offering extras like early bird drawings for additional cash, providing an assortment of snacks and drinks in their office before the start of studies, and multiple payment options for their incentives (prepaid virtual credit card, physical card or a deposit to a bank account). The last one is important since the days of walking out with an envelope full of cash seem to be long gone. And, this applies to pretty much all of these types of companies, not just Fieldwork.
I've been involved with FD for years & connected several people to them. Studies are typically entertaining. 1 star lost due to new delayed payment method. You used to walk out with your funds. Now, for some reason, it takes days to "process" a digital payment. Makes no sense.
