“There is a reason I drive over an hour to come her for my pets. They are friendly, work well with owners and fairy affordable. I only give 4 starts because the scheduling issues. When I went to fix my cat I wasn't on the computer and almost turned away if I didn't have the appointment card on me. My appointment for fixing my dog has been pushed back 3 times. They told me it was ok to do it 2 weeks after she had her puppies then changed their minds and pushed it back. They rescheduled 2 weeks after setting the next appointment because they can't do shots and fixing on the same day (then I got charged emergency visit because she had asymptomatic parvo on the schedule day and she didn't get her shots that day). They accidentally put me on a holiday, and had to fix that. She'll be fixed 3 months after I first set this appointment.“

“I would have given a 5 star… out of all the vets down here in the south this seems to be the best. My only issue is at the end of the visit my dog peed and pooped on the floor, after being doped up might I had. The doctor seemed a little agitated and after I cleaned up the mess I was then hurried along and told “ok we need to speed this up” so apparently it’s like all the other vets. Get them in get them out. As a business owner that’s not how you do business. As I said it is the best I’ve dealt with so I will be back because even tho there was a small incident at the end, the doctor did seem compassionate and cared but I’m paying money for a service I expect it grade A.“

“The female vet was awesome. Delivered a calf we all thought would not be alive. The little rascal, and his mama, are thriving now. Sorry, but I have forgotten her name. She was fearless and knew exactly what needed to be done, and did it without hesitation. She knows her job well.“

“It was Friday and I HAD to get my new kitten to the Vet. I had adopted her from an Animal Shelter 7 days prior. She had stopped eating and was having diarrhea. I called the Animal Shelter and they said, "Once you adopt them they are your responsibility." They told me she was 6 weeks old when I adopted her. But, I've raised kittens all of my life and I told them she wasn't any older than 4 weeks.
I called our Vet first. They didn't have an appointment until a week later. I continued calling every Vet in our area. I got the same thing from all of them ... No appointment available.
The last Vet I called was Ridgefield Animal Hospital. They told me to bring her in at 4:00 PM. It was a blessing to get an appointment because I had one very sick kitten. She had an intestinal bacteria. Dr. Hewitt was wonderful to our kitten and to us. He said every kitten in thar litter will have the same thing. And so would the Mama cat which was who the kittens got it from. I notified the Animal Shelter by email telling them that they better contact each person who had adopted a kitten from this litter. Whether they do or not I don't know. But I have my doubts.
I was given medicine for a week to treat my kitten. I'm praying that she will pull through. I fell in love with her as soon as she was posted on the Shelter'ls Site. She and I are very attached to one another. I can't bear to lose her.
My Husband and I highly recommend Dr. Hewitt at Ridgefield Animal Hospital.
You will love him and his entire staff. They are all about the care of your pet and not about the dollars as most Vets are !
