I wanted to share this in hopes that it is helpful... Back in July, I had asked about getting tubes for my daughter on FB. She had had 6 ear infections in 5 months (or something like that) and they were starting to become chronic...meaning after one antibiotic was finished it had returned within the week! So she had been on 6 rounds of antibiotics in her 9 months of life. I was at my wits end and my pediatrician was pushing for us to see the ENT, which we did. However, the ENT said since it had not affected her hearing, surgery “was up to me.” Well, I’m actually grateful he said that.... that made me slow my role a bit -because I was upset and really just wanted her to be better ASAP, I paused, and really looked into what could be best for our daughter. So...I had logged back into FB to ask about tubes. So many people gave advice for tubes; however, there were a few that suggested we try chiropractic care. Well, I couldn’t schedule surgery until a month and a half out anyway...so I did go ahead and schedule the tube surgery. However in the meantime, I tried the chiropractor. I went to @Stones River Chiropractic in Murfreesboro. Dr. Kimberly Dawes specializes in pediatric chiropractic care. She also checked my daughter’s ears each time too! When we had our first appointment in August, my daughter’s ears were inflamed. This wasn’t anything shocking.... the poor baby was living with a constant infection. She received an adjustment and we went back a couple days later. She had an adjustment every few days for the first two weeks. By week two, her ears were just a little pink... not red and angry. So we started to go weekly.... and then every two weeks... about a month into it... Annabeth’s ears were the beautiful silvery color that they were supposed to be! Her pediatrician even confirmed it! She was also sleeping better and waking up super happy instead of waking up in a blood curdling scream every morning! My husband and I were truly amazed! We kept pushing her surgery back...continuing to give chiropractic care a chance and finally we just cancelled it! My daughter has been ear infection FREE for 4 whole months! Which is a big deal for her! Even through teething and sickness when she was sure to get one! Like I said, I’m truly amazed and am so happy we explored this alternative to surgery. This was our experience... and I wanted to share in case it helps someone else!
