I moved from Nashville 13 years ago, but my time at the Nashville Dojo under Mr. Vaughn (he introduced me to Isshinryu - I was incredibly saddened when I learned of his passing), Mr. Hill, Mr. Fasig, Mr. Dennis (blanking on his last name) , Mr. Sanders, and Ms. Strong (and Fred - you were a positive influence in my life) will always be a highlight in my life. The tradition of Isshinryu in the middle Tennessee area (and East Tn area) is unparalleled. The opportunity to learn Juijitsu, Isshinryu, Modern Arnis, and various other forms from one tightly knit group of experts just made them stand out even more.
